Gabriola Elementary School Donates a Whopping $508.24!

gabriola-school1How do you spell REMARKABLE?  The 23 students in Mrs. Reynolds’ grade 3-4 class at Gabriola Elementary School have donated a whopping $508.24 to the Gabriola Rescue of Wildlife Society (GROWLS.).  The students raised the funds by seeking pledges from parents, relatives and neighbours for correctly spelling words during a special spelling test in Mrs. Reynolds class.  If the students spelled their words correctly, they were allowed to collect on the pledges.  On June 23rd  GROWLS. representatives Liz Ciocea, Sheila Lake, Lynda Kalbfleisch and Bill Kalbfleisch attended Mrs. Reynolds’ class to congratulate the students for their spelling prowess and to thank them for their astounding fundraising feat.  Gabriolans can be justly proud of these R-E-M-A-R-K-A-B-L-E students and their wonderful teacher.
