COMMITTEE REPORTS:
- Girl Guides made 4 Bat houses working on their Green Connections Badge. Many thanks to Iain Lawrence who cut out the Bat Houses for the Guides to assemble. Thanks also to Kristin Miller and Carol Hemrich for assistance with the guides.
- Rescue Review conducted by Vicki McDonald of seal pup, eagles at Descanso Bay Campground using the puppets. Thanks Vicki and others who attended.
- Report of Dispatcher Training carried over. Thank you to Shirley Highfill
- Earth Day Activities included a display and brochures about Bats at the Folk Life Village. Many people stopped by and islanders love their bats. Brochures given out, bat roosts located 58 people stopped by the table. Thank you Sheila Haniszewska for helping School visit rescheduled.
- GROWLS was represented at the GAFA event and an excellent presentation By Dr. Eoin Finn. That slide show sent out to GROWLS people May 03/16. Thank you to Jane Giffen and Joanna Mckenzie for helping at the GROWLS table. Event was to a full house.
Prior to the GROWLS meeting an excellent presentation about Hummingbirds by our guest Keith Poulton. Several members of the Gabriola Garden Club were in attendance. Keith was thanked and presented with a Hummingbird finger puppet. Thank you to Keith and Lynda Poulton.
