OLD BUSINESS:
- June minutes reviewed. GPS for park trails carried over Jane Giffen to follow up. Animal Magnetism show brought $1300.00 to GROWLS . Thank you cards sent to all the artists.
NEW BUSINESS:
- Case studies for June & July reviewed. (July meeting cancelled)
- Liz Steele & Mark Hendricks brought forward ideas to revamp website and make it more user friendly. Possible ideas were having the pager people to dispatch from the website and have rescuers, drivers put their availability in electronically. More investigation and proposal and carried over to next meeting for discussion.
- Joanna McKenzie will take over school visits. Liz & Joanna will get together to discuss GROWLS objectives for school presentations.
- Growls Puppet Show Liz has bought some beautiful animal hand puppets of wildlife and would like to create a puppet show with the help of interested GROWLS members to visit the school, museum, craft shows festivals. The idea being to have the animals tells their stories. She will approach Parks & Rec for a grant to cover the costs.
- New rescue & release cards depicting successful rescues and releases of wildlife GROWLS has aided. Do we want more cards to add to our card line? Carried over to next meeting.
- Eagle Monitoring Report carried over to future meetings results still being tabulated
- Flight of the Mergansers DVD shown. Copy given to GROWLS by Steve Berthelot of the Roxy Theatre.
